The 13th Biennial Congress of the Pediatric Association of Asia (PDAA 2024)

The 13th Biennial Congress of the Pediatric Association of Asia (PDAA 2024) being held from October 30 to November 1, 2024 at Eastin Grand Phayathai Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand was a success. With the theme “Reunite for Children’s Healthy Smiles”, the congress was aimed to focus on improving children’s oral health through advanced treatments, new technology applications, and collaboration between international specialists.

The event was joined by hundreds of delegates from around the world, including pediatric dental experts, researchers, and clinicians. The three-day congress consisted of in-depth discussions, hands-on workshops, and presentations from leading speakers in the field. Highlights of the congress include the following:

  • Behavioral management in pediatric dental treatment.
  • Application of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiographic analysis and dental treatment.
  • Enamel remineralization and probiotic applications.
  • Non-invasive orthodontic therapy, especially clear aligners.

In addition, the conference also featured practical workshops during pre-conference and panel discussions, allowing dentists update advanced techniques such as regenerative endodontic procedures and minimally invasive care.

A group of 12 Vietnamese dentists led by Prof. Vo Truong Nhu Ngoc participated in this conference and contributed 01 oral and 05 poster presentations on many updated topics in pediatric dentistry such as MIH, dental treatment in children with special pathologies. PDAA 2024 is not only a forum for intellectual exchange but also an opportunity for delegates to cooperate in pediatric dentistry research and practice, aiming to improve comprehensive oral health for children globally. The success of this event has affirmed the position of PDAA as a leading organization in promoting pediatric dentistry in the Asian region and internationally.
